Your Ottawa Host Family (Has a House)

I have a lovely Family Home located in Ottawa with easy access to public transit to downtown and Kanata. Shopping mall, pubs and restaurants are a short 1 minute walk. The neighborhood is very safe and full of parks, trails for biking or hiking, tennis courts and playgrounds.My family have been Hosts since 1989 and we really enjoy meeting new people and sharing what we love most about our Culture with others. I am a teacher and I teach Arts, Languages (English/Mandarin/French), and Culture. My partner works for the government and knows the best places to visit. My children are grown with one young one still at home and attending Grade 8. We are a fun loving, sharing and caring family. We love to travel, play, the outdoors, movies and food.Our home is comfortable and our attitude is flexible and friendly.If you have a car, street parking is plenty and safe. If you use public transit, the bus stop is directly behind the home about a half minute walk. Bus to downtown is between 10 to 20 minutes with a bus every 5 minutes during business hours Monday to Friday.Our home has a bathroom, kitchen, sitting room, dining room, living room. There are two bathrooms, and laundry: washer is available. There is a nice small patio out back to relax during the Summer and located behind the home is a Parkway system for rollerblading, biking and hiking.This room is suitable for a young and mature, independent, friendly, clean and tidy student or professional.
