Free on-street parking.Your bedroom upstairs on front of house, with a dormer window overlooking Breadalbane Street. Shared full bath; a separate WC/half-bath downstairs; shared kitchen. You are welcome to relax in the front room or on the deck. Use of the kitchen to cook supper can be negotiated.I am up early (5am) to start the day with an espresso and CBC radio, and then out the door early. Don't worry -my bedroom is on the main floor. After work, I enjoy chatting with guests, relaxing on the deck, or sharing the dinner table, but I give you privacy.King Street, with buses to McMaster University is 2 blocks away. You can also catch the GO Bus to Toronto at the same corner. Buses going to ward downtown run along Main Street -just 3 blocks away. Hwy 403 is only 750m away but you rarely hear any traffic sounds. The back deck is surrounded by trees and offers views of the garden and the beautiful spire of the Catholic cathedral. There is a shopping plaza at the end of the street: large supermarket (Fortino's); bank, restaurants. There is a pharmacy, and numerous restaurants (McD's, Tim Horton's, DQ, fish & chips, Subway, KFC, Wimpy's, Korean) all within a 5 minute walk, and the cafes/shops of Locke and Dundurn Streets are a 5 minute drive. Finally, Dundurn Castle national historic park with its cliff-side views of the Lake is just at the other end of the street!Getting aroundIf you are driving, the house is 2 blocks from the access ramp to Hwy 403 (to Toronto). The Toronto GO bus, and the city bus to McMaster both stop just 2 blocks away.
