Friendly atmosphere - Host Students (Has a House)

Calgary is such a vibrant city full of friendly hospitable people and our family is no different. We hope that you choose to stay with us during your studies or explore and discover Calgary Alberta Canada. We are a mixed culture family (European/Asian) with 2 fun loving children both over the age of 18 who since have moved out so we are empty nesters. We also have a loving, fun and adorable dog (Buster) who's a 11 year old hypo allergenic Maltese.We have been hosting International Students from Montreal/Asia/Europe since 2012 and they've been a great addition to our family and we've come to love them as our own. Light breakfast is included. Use of kitchen schedule will be discussed. We primarily host (Students) but we're open for vacationers (short 3 months minimum or long stays 10 -12 months maximum ), working professionals or on working holidays etc... We love hosting and hope we'll hear from you.We are conveniently located in a quiet, accessible and safe neighborhood in Scenic Acres NW. Only a few minutes walk to the bus stop, C train station, library and shops, restaurants, gym, doctor and dental offices. Very close proximity to Canada Olympic Park (COP), University of Calgary, SAIT and Junior/Senior High Schools. Family oriented, warm, friendly and most specially caring. We provide cozy living environment and we treat our students/guests with respect, care and always willing to help out in any way we can. We would be honored to share our home and family unit and make lasting friendship. Please see pictures attached, although we have recently repainted the interior with grey tones for a more neutral color. We don't host couples. Due to our current situation we require proof of at least 2 Covid vaccination record as we are also fully vaccinated for both parties peace of mind and safety. Payment - the deposit is collected in advance on behalf of the host to protect against no show or late cancellations (within 7 days of arrival). You then pay your host the balance due on arrival or up to 2 business days after your scheduled arrival date. This deposit payment will only be refunded if you cancel the booking at least 7 full days prior to arrival. We accept e-transfer, PayPal or cash. Rules will be discussed upon arrival. CLEANLINESS and RESPECT is outmost importance. *** Please take note that I unfortunately experience migraines triggered by strong food smells. Therefore, I kindly request my guests to be considerate of this condition and inquire with me before cooking anything that could potentially affect it. Cooking is allowed 1-2/week as the kitchen gets busy! We ask that each guests cook their meals good for 3 days at a time to avoid traffic in the kitchen.
